Sustainable thinking – from the recipe to the packaging

Sustainability is an integral part of Foondiert® packaging. The capsules and direct sprays are stored in MIRON® Violetglass, which can be recycled, refilled, or repurposed. The folding boxes are made from paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. Our refill pouches are made of a mono-material that protects the contents from moisture and UV radiation and is certified as "Made for Recycling". The unique Foondiert® labeling system means that the best-before date and batch number can be detached from each refill pack and affixed to the MIRON® Violetglass.

MIRON® Violetglass

MIRON® Violetglass is manufactured in the Netherlands and Germany. Its characteristic violet color comes from a patented blend of mineral oxides and silica, which occurs naturally as quartz and is a central component of sand.

MIRON® Violetglass is a biophotonic glass that protects natural products from the harmful effects of light, safeguarding their efficacy and increasing their shelf life. You can recycle the Miron® Violetglass in which our Foondiert® products are stored, refill it with capsules from our refill pouches, or use it for other purposes. The glass is ideal for storing products with a high biophoton content such as tea, herbs, homeopathic remedies, natural cosmetics, essential oils, honey, olive oil, and superfoods like raw cocoa beans and goji berries.

The field of biophotonics studies the general interaction of light with biological systems. Sunlight can have a deteriorating effect on natural products, accelerating their molecular decomposition. Miron® Violetglass is particularly good at preventing the escape of biophotons.

Folding cartons

Miron® violet glass is packaged in folding cartons made exclusively from paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

The FSC label gives you the assurance that the paper used has been produced with forest materials from FSC-certified forests or from reclaimed sources. FSC-certified forests must be managed in an environmentally appropriate and socially beneficial manner. The FSC system also includes a certified product chain that tracks the path of materials and products from the forest or reclamation to processing and labeling.

Refill bag

Our 100% recyclable refill pouches are made from a mono-plastic that protects the contents from moisture and UV rays and bears the "Made for Recycling" seal. Unlike multi-material structures (e.g., PET or PE), it is not incinerated for energy recovery but remains in the recycling loop. Thermolamination for airtight sealing avoids solvent-based adhesives that harm the environment. In Germany, you can dispose of the pouches in any yellow recycling bin.

Thanks to the unique Foondiert® labeling system, the best-before date and batch number can be detached from each refill pack and affixed to the MIRON® violet glass.
