Why Foondiert®?

The packaging

Sustainability is an integral part of Foondiert® packaging. The capsules and direct sprays are stored in MIRON® violet glass , which can be recycled, refilled or repurposed. The folding boxes are made from paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. Our refill bags are made of a monomaterial that protects the contents from moisture and UV radiation and is certified as "Made for Recycling". The unique Foondiert® labelling system means that the best before date and batch number are separated from each refill pack and attached to the MIRON® violet glass can be.

MIRON® violet glass

MIRON® violet glass is manufactured in the Netherlands and Germany. Its characteristic violet colour comes from a patented mixture of mineral oxides and silica, which occurs naturally as quartz and is a key component of sand.

MIRON® violet glass is a biophotonic glass that shields natural products from the harmful effects of light, protecting their effectiveness and increasing their shelf life. You can recycle the Miron® violet glass in which our Foondiert® products are stored, refill it with capsules from our refill bags or use it in another way. The glass is ideal for storing products with a high content of biophotons such as tea, herbs, homeopathic remedies, natural cosmetics, essential oils, honey, olive oil and superfoods such as raw cocoa beans and goji berries.

The field of biophotonics studies the general interaction of light with biological systems. Sunlight can have a deteriorating effect on natural products and accelerate their molecular degradation. Miron® violet glass is particularly good at preventing the escape of biophotons.

Folding boxes

Miron® violet glass is packaged in folding boxes made exclusively from paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

The FSC seal gives you the assurance that the paper you use was made with forestry materials from FSC-certified forests or from reclaimed sources. FSC-certified forests must be managed in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. The FSC system also includes a certified product chain that tracks the path of the materials and products from the forest or recultivation to processing and labeling.

Refill bag

Our 100% recyclable refill bags are made of a monoplastic that protects the contents from moisture and UV rays and has the "Made for Recycling" seal. Unlike multi-material structures (e.g. PET or PE), it is not burned to generate energy, but remains in the recycling cycle. The thermal lamination for airtight sealing avoids solvent-based adhesives that are harmful to the environment. In Germany, you can dispose of the bags in any yellow recycling bin.

The unique Foondiert® labelling system allows the best before date and batch number to be separated from each refill pack and attached to the MIRON® violet glass.
