The maintenance of normal vision
Vitamin A, riboflavin (vitamin B2) and zinc contribute to the maintenance of normal vision. Zinc also contributes to normal metabolism of Vitamin A and, together with vitamin E, to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Riboflavin also supports the maintenance of normal mucous membranes. The conjunctiva of the eye is an example of a mucous membrane.
