Foondiert® products are made in Germany using pharmaceutical grade manufacturing processes that undergo third-party testing and are ISO 9001:2015 certified as well as being certified by HACCP and GMP.
DIN EN ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system. Being ISO 9001:2015 certified shows an ongoing commitment to quality and that a manufacturer meets pre-defined regulatory requirements. ISO 9001 is issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which is composed of the national standards bodies of more than 160 countries.
HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) certification is an international standard defining the requirements for effective control of food safety. HACCP audits address food safety and hygiene through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement, and handling to the manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is a method for ensuring that products are manufactured and controlled based on strict quality standards that ensure that raw materials, food products, and packaging are handled safely and are processed in a suitable environment. It is a system designed to minimize the risks involved in pharmaceutical production that could not be eliminated by testing the final product. GMP addresses all aspects of production and includes the sourcing and handling of raw materials but also standards relating to the site, the equipment and the training of personnel. A manufacturer must have systems in place to provide documented proof that correct procedures are adhered to at each step in the manufacturing process.
